Job summary

E-Z Bel Construction, LLC is seeking a Surveyor to ensure accurate fieldwork across civil construction projects in Texas. You will operate Trimble GPS, total stations, and optical levels, interpreting plans to guide the team and maintaining detailed records.

Lead and mentor junior survey staff, establish lines and grades, and create CAD drawings for layout references. Travel within Texas may be required, with pre-employment screening and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in engineering or surveying preferred.
• 5+ years of surveying experience; advanced technical expertise in field measurements.
• Proficiency in CAD software, surveying tools, and data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary resource for accurate field engineering work.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment including Trimble GPS units, total stations, and optical levels.
• Read and interpret project plans and specifications to guide the team.
• Supervise and mentor junior surveyors and rodmen.
• Establish lines and grades, maintain records and notes; create CAD files and as-built docs.
• Perform quantity take-offs, cost calculations, and ensure timely documentation submission.
• Collaborate with inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project success.

We specialize in street reconstruction, underground utility installations, concrete work, bridges, and traffic signals.**Position Summary**The Surveyor is an experienced professional responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of fieldwork. This role involves advanced technical expertise in establishing lines, grades, and other measurements required for civil construction projects. The Surveyor plays a vital role in guiding teams, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.**Your Role**Serve as the primary resource for accurate field engineering work.Operate and maintain advanced surveying equipment, including Trimble GPS units, total stations, and optical levels.Read and interpret project plans and specifications, providing clear guidance to the team.Supervise, train, and mentor Junior Surveyors and Rodmen.Establish lines and grades for construction purposes, maintaining detailed records and engineering notes.Create and process CAD files, including cut sheets and drawings for layout reference.Perform quantity take-offs, as-built documentation, and cost calculations.Ensure timely submission of required documentation, including timesheets and safety reports.Maintain survey equipment and oversee the organization of the survey fleet.Collaborate with inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project success.**What you bring**High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in engineering or surveying preferred.5+ years of experience in surveying, with advanced technical expertise.Proficiency in CAD software, surveying tools, and data management systems.Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Commitment to accuracy, safety, and quality in all tasks.**Physical Requirements**The Surveyor role requires lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, frequent standing, bending, and navigating outdoor environments with varying weather and terrain conditions.
