Job summary

Bohler in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Survey Technician to join our land surveying team. You will prepare ALTA/ACSM, boundary, topographic, and as-built surveys with AutoCAD Civil 3D, evaluating field data for accuracy and completeness.

You will guide junior technicians, manage multiple projects, and ensure data integrity for engineering design, delivering precise results with Bohler standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; surveying or engineering coursework is a plus.
• 1+ years CAD experience in land surveying; Civil 3D proficiency required.
• Strong data verification and deed compilation knowledge.
• Excellent organization, communication, and multi-project management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed ALTA/ACSM, boundary, topographic, and as-built surveys with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Evaluate field data for accuracy and completeness.
• Generate surfaces from 3D polylines/points for engineering design.
• Conduct deed plotting, base map compilation, and data verification.
• Provide technical oversight to junior staff and mentor teammates.
• Ensure seamless data transfer between field and office teams.
• Identify data discrepancies and communicate issues to leadership.
• Contribute to QA/QC and uphold Bohler standards.
