Apex Companies is seeking a Survey Technician 2 to join our expanding team in the United States. The role focuses on field surveys, stakeouts, and UAV-based mapping, with strong emphasis on safety and accurate data collection.

You’ll work closely with design engineers, clients, and contractors to deliver precise survey results across varied projects. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of survey experience alongside proficiency with Carlson and Trimble GPS systems, and a solid understanding of

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma; Associates Degree preferred.
• 3+ years of survey experience required.
• Ability to work with design engineers, clients, contractors, and the general public
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Experience with different surveys and survey equipment
• Able to perform manual labor, carry 50+ pounds of equipment, walk varying terrain
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Thorough understanding of safe work practices per OSHA regulations
• Sponsorship not available now or in the future

Responsibilities

• Perform topography, construction stakeout, as built, and control surveys using conventional and GPS methods.
• Perform aerial mapping surveys using UAVs and have a general understanding of UAV technology.
• Proficient with Carlson and Trimble GPS systems.
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of construction drawings.
• Have a solid understanding of CAD/Carlson software.
• Document field observations and prepare daily field reports.
• Perform office computations for stakeout.
• Observe safe work practices.
