Job summary

McAdams, a full-service land planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, transportation, and geomatics firm, is seeking a Survey Technician to support Professional Land Surveyors. The role focuses on preparing maps, plats, and boundary descriptions with AutoCAD, Carlson Survey, Civil 3D, and MS Office.

You will maintain survey data records, assist with field packages, and manage field schedules to optimize team efficiency. Strong accuracy and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• AS/BS in Surveying/Geomatics preferred.
• NSPS CST II certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare survey documents per state/local standards (e.g., ALTA/NSPS).
• Independently write legal descriptions for survey documents.
• Perform land records research and know governmental offices and records they maintain.
• Compile deeds and plats into a deed sketch.
• Assist with staking computations and construction staking principles.
