Job summary

McAdams is seeking a Survey Technician to partner with the Professional Land Surveyor on diverse projects. You will prepare maps, plats, and boundary descriptions and use AutoCAD, Carlson Survey, and Civil 3D to ensure accurate, well-documented results.

Responsibilities include field package prep, field schedule management, and maintaining meticulous records. A strong foundation in surveying and software proficiency is essential for successful collaboration with the Geomatics team.

Qualifications

• BS or AS with emphasis on Surveying, Geomatics or CAD
• NSPS CST Level II certification preferred
• 0–2 years surveying experience
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Carlson Survey and Civil 3D
• Experience with MS Office and field data management

Responsibilities

• Prepare survey documents per state/local standards (ALTA/NSPS, Existing Conditions, plats)
• Write legal descriptions for survey documents
• Produce plan/profile/topographic/boundary/roadway files
• Conduct land records research and manage field data
• Compile deeds and plats into deed sketches
• Assist with staking computations and field package preparation
• Maintain client relations and professional field presence
• Ensure safety and compliance with company policies
