Job summary

R. Joe Harris & Associates, Inc. seeks a Survey Technician to assist licensed surveyors and civil engineers in producing accurate survey drawings for land development and infrastructure projects.

You will draft boundary, topo, ALTA/NSPS surveys, as-builts, and construction surveys using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, import field data, and prepare plats and maps while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of survey data, coordinates, and legal descriptions.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft boundary, topo, ALTA/NSPS surveys, as-builts, and construction surveys using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Import, process, and organize field survey data.
• Prepare plats, maps, and legal exhibits that meet company, client, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with field crews, surveyors, and engineers to ensure data accuracy and drawing quality.
• Apply survey standards, layering, and CAD templates consistently across projects.
