Job summary

Pinnacle Engineering Group is seeking a motivated Survey Technician to support licensed surveyors and crews in field and office settings in Wisconsin. The role involves collecting accurate field data, operating surveying equipment, and assisting with calculations and documentation for various surveying projects.

Primary duties include assisting with boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking surveys, recording notes, and supporting data organization.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• CST certification preferred.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate survey field equipment (GPS, total station, electronic level, data collectors).
• Learn surveying field practices from senior staff.
• Assist survey crews with field data collection for boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, record drawing surveys and construction staking services.
• Read and interpret survey maps, plats and drawings.
• Record field notes, sketches, and data clearly and accurately.
• Locate and mark property corners, benchmarks, and control points.
• Perform basic survey calculations and data processing under supervision.
• Assist with downloading, organizing, and reviewing field data.
