Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as survey crew chief or instrument operator.
• Proficiency with total stations, GPS equipment, and surveying instruments.
• Leadership to manage and motivate crews.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center or similar software.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage survey crews in the field to complete boundary, topo, and construction staking surveys.
• Plan and organize survey activities, determining methods, procedures, and equipment for each project.
• Operate and oversee total stations, GPS, and other instruments.
• Collect accurate field data and ensure proper documentation for project deliverables.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and team members to meet project requirements.
• Maintain safety standards and compliance on all job sites.
• Keep thorough field notes, records, and project documentation.
• Mentor and train junior crew members, supporting their professional growth.
• Stay current on new technologies, industry trends, and regulations.
