Qualifications

  • Graduate Degree required.
  • Valid Georgia Driver's License and ability to pass a Security Background check.
  • LSIT or Surveyor Apprenticeship desired.
  • Minimum 2 years surveying field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Manager with efficient project production and workload forecasting.
  • Perform boundary/ROW research and topographic mapping tasks.
  • Conduct field surveying and data collection using CAD and GPS tools.
  • Produce quality control reviews for projects and ensure CAD standards are followed.
  • Communicate effectively and maintain client relations; may require nights/weekends.

Job DetailsJob Location: Marietta, GA 30066Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Graduate DegreeJob Shift: DayJob Category: SurveyA Survey Tech 3 supports the Project Manager through efficient project production. Must be self-motivated individual that works well in a team-oriented environment. Ability to function as a team lead while supervising weekly project workload and manpower forecasting.

Responsibilities
  • Excellent understanding of Boundary/Right of Way resolution and all associated research.
  • Excellent understanding of Topographic Mapping and/or Route Surveys.
  • Excellent understanding of field surveying and data collection techniques.
  • Excellent skills in all related CAD software(s).
  • Excellent data reduction for all mediums, conventional, GPS etc.
  • Perform detailed Quality Control reviews for all projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of local, State and County laws governing platting and/or GDOT Survey Manuel.
  • Excellent communications and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • When required, work nights and weekends projecting a high level of flexibility.
  • Excellent understanding and regular/daily implementation of southeastern Engineering, Inc. CAD standards and/or GDOT Electronic Data Guidelines (EDG).
  • Excellent understanding and regular/daily implementation of southeastern Engineering, Inc. safety policies and procedures.
  • Meet and exceed all Survey Technician 2 requirements.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of various survey procedures.
  • Various related CAD skills, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Minimum 2 years surveying field experience preferred.
  • LSIT or Surveyor Apprenticeship desired.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as but not limited to, computers, phones copiers, scanners and plotters.
  • The job requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation.
