Job summary

Southeastern Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Survey Tech 2 to support the Project Manager through efficient project production in a team-oriented environment.

The role requires proficiency in boundary/ROW research, topographic mapping, route surveys, field data collection, CAD, and strict adherence to GDOT/EDG guidelines. The candidate should have strong communication and technical writing abilities, knowledge of survey laws, and a commitment to safety and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Proficient understanding of Boundary/Right of Way resolution and all associated research.
• Proficient understanding of Topographic Mapping and/or Route Surveys.
• Proficient understanding of field surveying and data collection techniques.
• Proficient knowledge of local, State and County laws governing platting and/or GDOT Survey Manual.
• Proficient communications and relationship building skills.
• Good technical writing skills.
• Proficient understanding and regular/daily assistance with implementation of Southeastern Engineering, Inc. CAD standards and/or GDOT Electronic Data Guidelines (EDG).
• Proficient understanding and regular/daily assistance with implementation of Southeastern Engineering, Inc. surveying policies and procedures.
• Proficient understanding of Southeastern Engineering, Inc. safety policies and procedures.
• Meet and exceed all Survey Technician 1 requirements.

Must be self-motivated individual that works well in a team-oriented environment.ResponsibilityProficient understanding of Boundary/Right of Way resolution and all associated research.Proficient understanding of Topographic Mapping and/or Route Surveys.Proficient understanding of field surveying and data collection techniques.Proficient skills in all related CAD software(s).Proficient knowledge of local, State and County laws governing platting and/or GDOT Survey Manuel.Proficient communications and relationship building skills.Good technical writing skills.When required, work nights and weekends projecting a high level of flexibility.Proficient understanding and regular/daily assistance with implementation of Southeastern Engineering, Inc. CAD standards and/or GDOT Electronic Data Guidelines (EDG).Proficient understanding and regular/daily assistance with implementation of Southeastern Engineering, Inc. surveying policies and procedures.Proficient understanding of Southeastern Engineering, Inc. safety policies and procedures.Meet and exceed all Survey Technician 1 requirements.Additional duties as assigned.Valid Georgia Driver's License and ability to pass a Security Background check.Basic knowledge of various survey procedures.Various related CAD skills, Microsoft Word, and Excel.Minimum 2 years surveying field experience preferred.
