Job summary

Ramaker & Associates, Inc. seeks a Survey Technician to support field and office tasks, collect accurate site measurements, and prepare drawings using Civil 3D/AutoCAD.

This role emphasizes collaboration with surveyors, engineers, and project stakeholders to move assignments forward. You will travel within WI, MN, IL, IA and may work from home or our Madison office; a minimum of an associate degree and 2 years of surveying experience are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in surveying or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on surveying experience, including field work such as collecting site measurements, processing field data, or supporting construction staking work.
• Experience with Civil 3D for survey drawings, plats, and mapping deliverables.
• Familiarity with boundary, topographic, and construction staking survey workflows.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Willingness to travel within WI, MN, IL, IA; occasional overnight stays.

Job description

As a Survey Technician, you will play an important role in supporting survey projects that inform design, development, and construction work. This role contributes to the accuracy and quality of project deliverables while partnering closely with surveyors, engineers, and other project stakeholders to keep active assignments moving forward.

Most of our survey work is in WI, MN, IL, and IA so we are looking for someone who is willing to travel within this area. Some extended travel may be required occasionally, including overnight stays. When completing office work, you'll have the option to work from your home or from our Madison office.
