Job summary

Ramaker is seeking a Survey Technician to support survey projects informing design, development, and construction. You will work closely with surveyors, engineers, and other stakeholders to keep assignments moving forward and ensure data accuracy.

Responsibilities include fieldwork, preparing drawings with Civil 3D/AutoCAD, reviewing legal descriptions, processing field data, and supporting boundary/topographic/construction staking.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in surveying or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on surveying experience including field measurements.
  • Experience with Civil 3D for survey drawings, plats, and mapping.
  • Familiarity with boundary, topographic, and construction staking workflows.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Experience coordinating with surveyors, engineers, and project teams is a plus.

Job description

As a Survey Technician, you will play an important role in supporting survey projects that inform design, development, and construction work. This role contributes to the accuracy and quality of project deliverables while partnering closely with surveyors, engineers, and other project stakeholders to keep active assignments moving forward.

Most of our survey work is in WI, MN, IL, and IA so we are looking for someone who is willing to travel within this area. Some extended travel may be required occasionally, including overnight stays. When completing office work, you'll have the option to work from your home or from our Madison office.
