Job summary

UNICO Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Land Surveyor Technician at our Folsom, CA office.

You will use CAD(D) software to create ALTA surveys, maps, and topographic exhibits, ensuring quality and on-time delivery in collaboration with the Survey Manager. Successful candidates will have 2–3 years of land surveying experience, be proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 2-3 years' Land Surveying experience.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD.
• LSIT preferred or pursuing certification.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Team player with collaborative mindset.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD(D) software to prepare property exhibits, maps, ALTA surveys, map checks, and topographic exhibits.
• Complete work tasks with quality on time and within budget, as determined by Survey Manager or delegated supervisor.
• Provide field crews with necessary information for the completion of their assignments.
• Research property information, interpret maps and deeds necessary for accurate property descriptions.
• Update supervisor on the status of assigned work on a regular basis.
