Job summary

Halff is seeking an experienced Registered Professional Land Surveyor to lead the Survey team in Lubbock or Midland, TX. The role requires 3+ years of management and extensive survey experience, with opportunity for growth and ownership in the firm.

The Team Leader will manage West Texas survey projects, mentor staff, oversee budgets and schedules, and cultivate client relationships while expanding Halff's market presence in the region.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Licensed RPLS in Texas or ability to obtain within one year.
• 3+ years of survey project management and leadership experience.
• Experience managing large-scale survey projects and supervising field and office staff.
• Strong knowledge of boundary and right-of-way resolution.

Responsibilities

• Lead Survey teams in West Texas, ensuring on-time, on-budget project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to survey staff.
• Oversee project management, budgets, schedules, and sub consultants.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and grow market presence.
• Prepare proposals and support business development efforts.
