Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a Survey Team Leader to guide a team of land surveyors and geospatial professionals. You will oversee field and office staff, manage data collection, and ensure quality surveying products while coordinating with clients and other disciplines.

The role demands strong leadership, technical acumen, and the ability to drive projects in a fast-paced environment. Travel to sites may be required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 8 years of related work experience in the land surveying field.
• Massachusetts Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License preferred (or the ability to obtain licensure).
• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel to Woolpert or customer sites across Massachusetts, potentially nationally.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surveying and mapping solutions to support project/program requirements.
• Coach, mentor, direct, and delegate tasks to technical team members to ensure quality project deliverables.
• Perform analysis for complex boundary surveys and prepare associated plats and boundary descriptions.
• Conduct advanced calculations involving field survey data.
• Assist with the preparation of right-of-way plans and QA/QC on said plans.
• Prepare or review survey reports and legal descriptions.
• Coordinate, plan, and schedule survey tasks and field crews.
• Develop scopes of work, schedules, and estimates for survey projects.
• Ensure project quality control and quality assurance processes are in place.
• Provide technical expertise and leadership during proposal and planning phases.
