Job summary

Mark Thomas in the Survey and Mapping Division is seeking a Survey Specialist I to execute and deliver on multiple client projects. The role may include specialized field tasks and mentoring junior staff, contributing to project success across deliverables and scopes.

Ideal candidates hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in a survey-related field with MicroStation, TopoDOT, Scan extraction and LiDAR experience; LSIT/GISP preferred. Strong communication and time management are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in a survey-related field preferred.
• Must have MicroStation, TopoDOT, Scan extraction, LiDAR experience.
• 6–10+ years of relevant experience.
• LSIT/GISP or advanced survey-related technology skill (3D Scanning, UAV/UAS, etc.) preferred.
• Proficiency in survey calculations, regulations, and deliverables.
• Working knowledge of CAD and GIS software.

Responsibilities

• Performs work on a variety of survey projects and produces deliverables.
• Assists in writing scope and estimates for projects.
• Coordinates review and submittal of survey deliverables with agencies/clients.
• Communicates with project team, subconsultants, and clients.
• Performs quality checks per company QMP.
• Analyzes survey data and prepares client deliverables.
• Attends training and mentoring activities to develop staff.
• Seeks opportunities to contribute to MT goals.
