Job Description

As the Survey Project Manager (PSM/PLS), you will be responsible for developing and expanding our Survey and Mapping/Geomatics Division. Your responsibilities include fostering client relationships, developing and monitoring project scope, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control from proposal to final delivery. You will oversee survey activities to meet performance goals, coordinate effectively with team members, and provide detailed instructions to support personnel.

Your Primary Responsibilities

• Stay updated with current technology and program changes.
• Perform calculations for field crews and mapping as needed.
• Research and compile project information prior to commencement.
• Analyze deeds and research materials for survey production.
• Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget; discuss issues with supervisors as needed.
• Manage office personnel assigned to projects.
• Coordinate with field crew supervisors to meet project needs and ensure quality from the field.
• Prioritize projects and schedules for yourself and your team.
• Coordinate QA/QC scheduling.
• Monitor projects to ensure client satisfaction and scope completion.
• Review timesheets of staff daily.
• Assist with project estimates as requested.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) or (PLS) in the working state.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven project management experience with state DOT, Public Works, Site Development, and ALTA surveys.
• Experience with MicroStation, GEOPAK, Civil 3D, or similar transportation surveying tools, and familiarity with state DOT standards.
• Subsurface Utility Engineering experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
