Job summary

Alta Environmental & Infrastructure in Tucson seeks a detail-oriented Survey Project Manager (PLS) to lead boundary, ALTA/NSPS, and topographic surveys for land development and construction projects in the Tucson area.

You will supervise field crews, review surveys, prepare legal descriptions, and ensure compliance with state and local laws. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble is required.

Qualifications

• Active PLS registration required.
• Experience supervising field crews.
• Knowledge of boundary law and survey principles.
• Willingness to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise field survey crews and office staff in the execution of various types of land surveys.
• Prepare and review boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, topographic surveys, plats, and legal descriptions.
• Utilize surveying instruments, GPS, robotic total stations, and CAD software to collect and analyze data.
• Interpret survey data, maps, deeds, and other records to determine property boundaries and easements.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports, maps, and documentation for clients and regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients to support project planning and execution.
• Perform quality control checks and approve final survey documents.
