Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design in Albany, NY is seeking a Survey Project Manager to lead boundary survey analysis, coordinate field and office staff, and ensure high-quality client deliverables. You will supervise project tasks and drive accuracy from field data through final reports.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying Technology or related field, 8+ years of land surveying experience, and LSIT with NY licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in surveying technology, civil engineering technology or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in land surveying required.
• LSIT required, NYS Professional Land Surveyor license preferred.
• Ability to generate revenue through existing client base and new business development preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for written communications and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and prepare complete boundary survey by compiling record data and providing sound analysis and reason for accurate property line location.
• Perform Quality Control review on reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other contract documents prepared by others for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide assistance to staff in the preparation of reports/findings, plans, and other contract documents.
• Organize and coordinate the work of field and office staff required to complete design, field and/or other tasks on more complex projects.
• Assist in the preparation of project/task work plans.
• Provide direction to staff to complete project objectives.
• Monitor the work efforts of assigned staff including sub-consultants and/or contractors.
• May supervise assignments given to the Survey Technician(s).

Whether the project calls for administering conventional surveying methods, cutting‑edge geospatial scanning techniques or a combination of both, our professionally licensed land surveyors, highly‑trained office technicians and field crews work seamlessly together to provide the most responsive and consistent professional survey services available. Compensation: $74,600 to $141,400 per year (depending on qualifications)
