Job summary

WSP is seeking an Assistant Survey Project Manager to join our Geomatics Department in Lawrenceville, NJ. You will work with a team of survey professionals to manage projects from start to finish, provide guidance to field staff, technicians, and CAD drafters, and ensure high-quality deliverables for transportation, environmental, commercial, industrial, and energy projects.

The role requires a strong background in both field and office surveying, experience with drafting and data processing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geomatics or related field with 3–4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's with 4–6 years, or 6+ years in lieu of degree.
• Experience in both field and office survey work.
• Experience with drafting programs and survey data processing programs.
• Boundary research, compilations, and determinations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production of survey plans and deliverables.
• Assist with scheduling and setting up field crews; update project tracking software.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of work by survey technicians and CAD drafters.
• Prepare survey reports and review survey data; adjust boundary placements under PLS guidance.
• Mentor and educate new staff; interact with clients via email/phone/meetings.
