Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Assistant Survey Project Manager to join the Geomatics Department in the New York Metro Region, with options to work from Valhalla, NY and/or New York, NY. You will support projects through planning, field coordination, and office deliverables while mentoring staff and maintaining client relationships.

Ideal candidates hold a Geomatics degree with 3–4 years of experience or equivalent field expertise, and have proficiency in drafting and data processing tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics or equivalent with 3–4 years’ field/office experience, or 6+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in both field and office survey work.
• Proficiency with drafting & data processing software.
• Experience performing boundary research and determinations.
• Ability to oversee survey control adjustments with PLS guidance.
• Strong teaching attitude and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform senior management‑level support for projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate field crews, schedule work, and track project progress.
• Oversee production of survey plans and deliverables; QA/QC reviews.
• Prepare survey reports and review data for boundary determinations.
• Mentor junior staff and liaise with clients via email/phone/meetings.
• Represent WSP professionally and uphold safety policies.
• Take on additional duties as needed by business requirements.
