Job summary

WSP is seeking an Assistant Survey Project Manager to join our Geomatics Department in Lawrenceville, NJ. The role focuses on supporting project delivery, coordinating field crews, and mentoring staff while ensuring high-quality survey products.

You will work across transportation, environmental, commercial, industrial, institutional, and energy projects, using drafting and data processing tools daily and representing WSP with clients and stakeholders in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geomatics (Land Surveying related fields) with 3–4 years of relevant experience.
• Associate's degree with 4–6 years of relevant experience, or 6+ years of land surveying experience in lieu of a degree.
• Prior field and office survey experience.
• Experience with drafting programs and survey data processing.
• Boundary research, compilations, and determinations experience.
• Willingness to learn and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the production of survey plans and deliverables under guidance of senior management.
• Assist with scheduling field crews and updating project tracking software.
• Perform initial QA/QC reviews of work by survey technicians and CAD drafters.
• Prepare survey reports, process and review survey data, and adjust boundaries as needed.
• Interact with clients by email, phone, or meetings and represent WSP professionally.
• Assist in mentoring and educating new staff.
