Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is seeking an experienced Survey Project Coordinator / Survey Crew Chief to join our Wilmington, North Carolina office.

This role blends field leadership with office survey work and is designed for someone pursuing growth toward a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure. You will lead field surveys (boundary, topographic, ALTA), supervise crews, coordinate schedules and equipment, and collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive surveying experience with strong field background.
• Experience leading survey crews as Crew Chief or similar role.
• Hybrid field/office experience including data processing and drafting.
• Experience with boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS surveys and related tasks.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble software and data processing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform a variety of field surveys (boundary, topographic, ALTA, stakeout).
• Operate and maintain modern surveying equipment and software.
• Coordinate field activities, schedules, equipment, and personnel.
• Process field data, perform deeds research and boundary analysis.
• Assist with survey calculations, map preparation, and drafting.
• Collaborate with Professional Land Surveyors, engineers, PMs, and clients.
• Provide mentorship to junior survey staff and communicate with stakeholders.
