NORC at the University of Chicago is seeking a Survey Programmer II to contribute to the design, programming, and testing of questionnaires across client projects. The role involves code reviews, walk-throughs, and collaboration on cross-functional teams, with a mix of in-office and hybrid work in Chicago.

Hybrid work is supported with a minimum of six days per month in the office; highly qualified remote candidates will be considered. Eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• At least four (4) years of survey programming experience with CATI/CAPI/CAWI engines.
• Experience with SDLC (Survey Development Life Cycle).
• Familiarity with social science research or survey methodology.
• Understanding of survey data collection concepts (sample management, scheduling).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Design, program, and test survey solutions to project specifications.
• Script surveys on multiple platforms depending on data collection mode and project needs.
• Conduct design walk-throughs and code reviews.
• Contribute to and maintain process improvements.
• Work on cross-functional project teams.
• Training will be provided on NORC's preferred survey engines.
