Ardurra is seeking a Field Survey Party/Crew Chief II to join our staff in Tampa, FL.
We believe a quality survey forms the basis for a successful design. Whether establishing boundary lines, collecting topographic data, or staking improvements for construction, accuracy and timeliness are essential. Ardurra utilizes the latest technologies along with proven survey practices to provide the best basis for your project.
Our equipment includes GPS, robotic total stations, aerial lidar, drone imagery, digital levels, and more, enabling our field personnel to produce accurate maps such as boundary surveys, topographic maps, 3D models, sketches, and legal descriptions. We have experience with projects of all sizes for private and public sector clients.
Reports directly to the Survey Group Leader and may receive project assignments from Survey Project Managers. Responsible for completing various field surveying tasks using appropriate procedures and techniques. Must record all pertinent field notes clearly and legibly. Field Crew Leaders are responsible for training, supervising, and ensuring safety of all field technicians. They must ensure safety procedures, traffic control, and proper organization and maintenance of survey vehicles. Reports to Field Crew Manager and Project Surveyor for daily briefings. Upload and download field data daily or as directed. Some assignments may require travel and overnight stays.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various weather conditions and terrains, and operate field equipment requiring hand-eye coordination. The role involves sitting, standing, walking, climbing, and other physical activities.
Primarily outdoors in all weather, on rough, steep, or wet terrain. Insects, snakes, and animals may be encountered.
