Job summary

The ideal candidate has 3+ years on a land surveying crew, with preferred Party Chief experience and strong AutoCAD/Civil 3D capabilities. A valid driver’s license is required and travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate/bachelor's preferred.
• 3+ years of experience on a land surveying crew.
• Prior Party Chief experience a plus.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred.
• Familiar with boundary and ALTA/NSPS surveys.
• Able to perform topographic, road frontage cross-sections, and as-built surveys.
• Proficient with total station, GPS and data collection; adapt to new tech.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of survey field crew, including training and mentoring.
• Coordinate with contractors to provide survey services.
• Identify controls for property lines and determine survey approach.
• Gather necessary information to conduct surveys efficiently and assign tasks.
• Discuss work with clients as necessary.
• Make calculations and maintain essential survey records.
• Ensure survey truck and equipment are maintained; inventory tools.
• Communicate with management to maximize efforts and man-hours.
