Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. in Pittsburgh is seeking a Survey Crew Lead to manage field operations, perform various surveys, and mentor staff. The role requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and proficiency with robotic total stations and other survey equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a survey field crew performing control surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeout, monitoring, and as‑built surveys (4–8 years experience required).
• Mentor, train, and manage assigned staff in the field.
• Operate robotic total stations, electronic data collectors, digital and optical levels, and RTK GPS equipment.
• Perform survey calculations in the field and interpret design plans, as‑built drawings, and roadway plans.
• Create legible field sketches and detailed field notes.
• Maintain a valid current driver’s license.
• Follow instructions and maintain a positive can‑do attitude.
• Lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, work in all weather conditions, and be willing to work evenings, weekends, and travel for overnight or extended‑stay projects as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.
