Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry in Washington state is seeking a Survey Office Technician to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will process field data, prepare survey documents, and work closely with Project Surveyors and field crews on private and public projects.

The ideal candidate has an associate or bachelor’s degree in land surveying, 2–5 years of surveying experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Familiarity with Trimble equipment and related software is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or related field.
• 2–5 years surveying experience with various project types.
• Knowledge of land surveying techniques, control, and construction surveying.
• Familiarity with WA/OR surveying laws and regulations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Hands-on experience with Trimble equipment and data tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of survey documents using Civil 3D software.
• Conduct detailed survey research to support project accuracy.
• Reduce survey data using Trimble Business Center software.
• Import/export field data for survey work using Civil 3D.
• Create topographic maps with Civil 3D and existing property elements.
• Perform office calculations and support field crews for staking.
• Prepare legal descriptions of real property.
