Job summary

Duininck Texas is seeking a Manager of Survey, Modeling & Machine Control Systems to lead the surveying department across Texas projects. You will supervise field survey personnel, develop project models, and ensure machine control is implemented and optimized.

The successful candidate will coordinate surveying resources, oversee model development, and drive continuous improvement in surveying and machine control processes, with travel to sites and some weekend work required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of surveying and modeling experience.
• Experience with machine control systems preferred.
• Knowledge of construction practices and surveying standards.
• Proficiency with Carlson Survey, CAD software, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and hold all Duininck Texas surveyors accountable.
• Staff and coordinate surveying activities on all projects.
• Perform surveys including topography, vertical/horizontal control, and stakeout.
• Construct survey models for projects using industry survey software.
• Ensure survey equipment and machine control systems are identified, utilized, and maintained.
• Support estimating in pre-bid quantity take-offs and assessments.
• Reconcile job production quantities with project take-offs.
• Identify potential quantity busts and opportunities.
• Travel and some weekend work required.
