Job summary

Rick Engineering Company in Riverside, CA is seeking a Survey Mapping Manager to lead a skilled team on landmark water and land development projects. You will manage scope, schedule and budget while delivering high-quality survey deliverables and expanding client relationships.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years' survey experience, CA Licensed Professional Surveyor preferred, and proven ability to mentor staff, win new work, and coordinate with field and engineering teams to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of survey-related experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in CA preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Outgoing and organized with strong project and operational management skills.
• Ability to network and build relationships with current and prospective clients.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in boundary analysis, computations of ALTA and topography surveys.
• Perform quality control of survey plans, records plats, descriptions, and review of title commitments.
• Multi-task effectively and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to staff in the growing survey practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform survey-related research, boundary analysis, calculations, exhibits, and legal descriptions for a variety of land development and public works-related projects from infill developments to large master-planned communities and public-related improvement projects throughout Southern CA.
• Prepare and/or oversee preparation of final maps, parcel maps, record of survey and ALTA maps.
• Prepare and/or oversee preparation of legal descriptions and associated plats, and boundary analysis.
• Coordinate with Field Chief to maintain project schedules and deliverables.
• Develop new leads and opportunities.
• Attend client meetings and conducting thorough Quality Control reviews/audits.
