Job summary

DRMP’s Charlotte, NC office seeks a Professional Survey & Mapper Department Manager to lead Transportation, Land Development, and Construction projects, leveraging expertise in project and production management, team leadership, and client coordination.

This role involves mentoring office and field personnel, participating in business development, managing diverse clients, and guiding department budgets, schedules, and QA/QC reviews in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PLS).
• Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history.
• Successful history of project management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Technical knowledge of CADD systems; including MicroStation, ORD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Business Development efforts for Survey in the public and private sector to establish a diverse client base for the firm.
• Participate in local professional organizations, such as ACEC, ASHE, and NCSS. This includes attending lunches, meetings and other conferences to increase DRMP’s marketing network. DRMP will reimburse expenses associated with attending these professional organizations.
• Market and research upcoming projects, including identifying projects and creating a Marketing Target list.
• Work with and support DRMP’s Geomatics and engineering staff to aid in expanding our services throughout the Charlotte region.
• Specific goals would consist of establishing Backlog to start and maintain field and office staff locally.
