Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking a Survey Manager in the Dayton, OH area to oversee survey teams across multiple sites. You will provide technical input on standards, specifications, and land mapping, collaborating with engineers and superintendents to deliver precise survey results.

The role emphasizes leadership, calibration of equipment, and coordination of surveying activities with project teams. A strong background in geomatics and field surveying is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in survey or land mapping.
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Expert knowledge of land mapping and technical survey instrument techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provides work control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and installation by field staff.
• Ensures crews perform layout work competently and accurately.
• Checks as-built conditions using surveying techniques.
• Provides topographic and cross-section surveys for planning and payment quantities.
• Assists with conducting quantity calculations as required.
• Monitors and maintains condition and calibration of surveying equipment.
• Coordinates survey activities with the assigned engineer and superintendents to meet construction requirements.
• Manages survey department resources and department assigned budget.

Overview

Are you an innovative leader with expert knowledge of land mapping and technical survey instrument techniques? As a Survey Manager, you who will oversee survey teams of one or more project sites, providing technical input regarding engineering standards, specifications, design instructions and land mapping. Collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to contribute to deliver exceptional results.

This is a full-time position supporting an Advanced Technology project, which includes out Data Center market segments.

What you will be doing

• Provides work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by field staff
• Ensures that crews perform layout work competently and accurately.

What we are looking for
