Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is a multi-disciplinary civil engineering firm seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to support Site, Transportation, Structures and Water Resources projects.

You will perform boundary and topographic surveys, use Trimble and Leica equipment, and assist with field data collection while collaborating with a team across six locations. The internship emphasizes hands-on learning, mentorship, and exposure to real-world projects.

Qualifications

• Provide 30–40 hours per week with early start (6–7 am).
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Work outdoors as part of a field team.
• Must be a team player and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform boundary surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties.
• Perform topographic surveys, capturing contours and existing features.
• May perform construction surveys for municipal, private, and roadway projects.
• Utilize Trimble Robotic, Conventional and GPS equipment and Leica 3D Scanning to collect data.
• Import field data daily and maintain accurate field notes.
• Maintain and service general field equipment.
• Adhere to CDI safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Travel 10–15%.
• Great if pursuing a degree in survey, geography or survey drafting.
