The Provo City Engineering Division is recruiting for a Survey Intern position. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working with a high-performing municipal survey team.
Qualified, civic-minded individuals interested in performing these duties in support of services provided to the residents of Provo City are encouraged to apply.
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on qualifications.

Complete projects for the Engineering Division/Survey Team as directed.
Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to map surveys.
Check subdivision plats.
Assist survey crew and other department employees as needed.
Perform other related duties as required.
Bona fide student in an undergraduate or graduate program in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or closely-related field. (Preference given to Surveying students.)
Valid, lawful driver license at time of appointment. Applicant may be disqualified on the basis of an unacceptable driving record as reflected by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.
15-25 hours per week during the school year, up to 40 hours per week during the summer, Monday through Thursday between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Requires working on a computer for extended periods of time. May involve exposure to high-stress situations or environments, including contact with the public in confrontational or uncomfortable circumstances.

If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
