Job summary

Jqolusa is seeking a Survey Intern in Indianapolis to support the survey team on field and office projects while gaining hands-on experience in surveying practices, project documentation, and survey deliverables.

You will assist with reviewing drawings, preparing field packs, data collection, and supporting ALTA and topographic surveys under supervision. Ideal for students in Surveying or Civil Engineering.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree in a related field with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is important.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines during projects.
• Interest in learning surveying practices, field procedures and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Assist with survey field and office projects to deliver assignments.
• Review construction drawings, section corner ties, benchmarks, deeds, and plats.
• Prepare survey field packs and collect site data.
• Support drafting and preparation of ALTA and topographic surveys.
• Collaborate with surveyors and team to meet project deadlines.
• Gain experience with survey equipment, field procedures, drafting, and documentation.
• Organize project information and maintain accurate survey records.
