Job summary

NWU in Orlando, FL is seeking a motivated surveying/geomatics intern to gain practical experience across Design Survey, Right of Way Mapping, Sub-Surface Utilities, LiDAR, and GIS.

You will support project research, survey calculations, and drafting with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and TopoDOT, while learning field safety and operating GNSS receivers, LiDAR scanners, and Total Stations. Flexible 16 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Gaining practical experience in surveying and geomatics areas (Design Survey, Right of Way Mapping, Sub-Surface Utilities, Mobile/LiDAR, GIS).
• Participating in project research and survey calculations.
• Drafting using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and TopoDOT.
• Learning field safety protocols.
• Operating GNSS receivers, LiDAR scanners, and Total Stations.
• Performing field notes reduction and field-to-finish processing.
