Job summary

GOTAFE is seeking motivated students for a hands-on surveying and geomatics role in Orlando. You will gain experience across Design Survey, ROW Mapping, LiDAR, and GIS while participating in project research and calculations. You will draft with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and TopoDOT and learn essential field safety practices.

The role includes operating GNSS, LiDAR scanners, and Total Stations, with 16 hours per week minimum, focusing on field-to-finish processing and notes reduction.

• Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history
• Minimum availability of 16 hours per week on a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Gain practical experience in surveying and geomatics areas including Design Survey, Right of Way Mapping, LiDAR and GIS.
• Participate in project research and survey calculations.
• Draft using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and TopoDOT.
• Learn field safety protocols.
• Operate GNSS receivers, digital levels, LiDAR scanners, and total stations.
• Perform field notes reduction and field-to-finish processing
