Job summary

DRMP is offering a Survey Internship in Orlando, FL within the Survey/Geomatics department. This internship aims to give students practical experience across field and office workflows while pursuing their degree and exploring a career path in the industry.

Interns will gain exposure to design surveying, GIS, LiDAR, and related technologies, with mentoring from professionals and opportunities to network across the team.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
• Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history.
• 16 hours per week minimum availability on flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• The purpose of the survey internship is to provide an overview of field and office workflows while developing professionalism.
• Project research.
• Survey calculations.
• Drafting in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, MicroStation, and TopoDOT.
• Field safety.
• Using GNSS Receivers, Digital Levels, LiDAR scanners and Total Stations.
• Field notes reduction and field-to-finish processing.

From \"Traditional\" or Design Surveying to the latest technological advances in LiDAR, Geomatics offers a variety of options for the curious student. DRMP’s internship is designed to allow students to gain practical experience in SEVERAL of these areas while earning a degree and exploring a potential career path in the industry.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include
