Job summary

Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to support our Building Stronger Communities mission through Site, Transportation, Structures and Water Resources projects.

The role involves field surveying, data collection, and collaboration with the CDI team across multiple service lines. The internship program includes hands-on experience, networking events, and industry panels across CDI's six locations, with approximately 3.5 days of dedicated intern activities during the

Qualifications

• Must be available to work 30-40 hours per week starting early morning.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Perform boundary surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties.
• Perform topographic surveys for contours and features.
• May conduct construction surveys for municipal, private, and roadway projects.
• Operate Trimble Robotic, Leica 3D Scanning, GPS equipment and data collection software.
• Maintain daily field notes with accuracy and professionalism.
• Assist with general equipment maintenance and safety compliance.
