Job summary

Wallace Montgomery, an ENR Top 500 design firm, seeks an experienced Instrument Operator to support surveying projects across highways, bridges and utilities. This role requires technical knowledge of surveying methods and equipment, and meticulous field notes.

Applicants should have a high school diploma with math coursework and a valid Maryland driver's license; prior field experience is a plus. Join WM to contribute to a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

  • Support engineering and land surveying tasks as part of WM field teams.

Work requires the application of technical knowledge of surveying methods, equipment and techniques in the measurement/determination of distances, elevations, areas, angles, land boundaries and other features of the earth's surface. This person performs such tasks as: using equipment and understanding measurement methods to be used, keeping field notes for each job.High school graduate with major coursework in mathematics (algebra and trigonometry) and one (1) to three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a variety of engineering and land survey work a plus. Possess a valid Maryland driver’s license.
