Job summary

Wallace Montgomery in Delaware is seeking a Design Engineer with a background in civil engineering, environmental, or drafting. The role supports the Site Development department across Newark or Dover offices, reviewing drawings, performing CADD drafting, and creating 3D site models.

The candidate will independently prepare design documents, perform earthwork quantities, coordinate with other disciplines, and maintain records while collaborating with team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental, Drafting, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer registration preferred but not required.
• Five years or more of relevant design experience.
• Proficiency in CADD software, engineering analysis software, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build and develop organizational relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering drawings, studies, and reports in compliance with applicable standards.

• Prepare 3D models of site grading using Civil 3D.

• Maintain accurate records of daily activities.
