Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Survey Group Manager in Charlotte, NC to lead and grow the Survey Department. This role requires oversight of conventional surveying, GPS, LiDAR, UAV, and related services, with emphasis on staff leadership and client relationships.

Ideal candidate has extensive surveying experience, senior leadership skills, and deep knowledge of NCDOT requirements to deliver high-quality projects and drive business development for NV5 in the Charlotte market.

Qualifications

• NC Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure required.
• 10–15+ years of progressive surveying experience.
• Experience leading multiple survey crews and staff.
• Strong knowledge of surveying principles and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Charlotte survey operations team.
• Oversee GPS, LiDAR, UAV, and conventional surveying services.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Maintain client relationships and pursue new business.
• Ensure QA/QC for all survey deliverables.
