Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Survey Technician to join our Southpointe, PA office. The ideal candidate will learn survey terminology and references, equipment calibration techniques, conduct measurements required for technical survey work, and learn to set up tripods and other basic equipment.

Experience is not required, we will train the right individual. You will work in both office environments and the field, producing tabulating data, field notes, and sketches while following safety

Qualifications

• 0+ years of experience; willing to train the right person.
• Learn survey terminology, equipment calibration and measurements.
• Assist with field and office survey tasks.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Apply theory to modify, test, and operate survey equipment.
• Work both in office and in the field.
• Produce tabulating data, field notes and sketches.
• Travel up to 75% of the time, up to 3 weeks per month.
• Assist higher-level staff with basic issues.
