Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry, LLC is seeking a Survey Field Technician to join our Oregon team. You will work with project surveyors, field crews, and engineers on public and private sector projects, gaining hands-on experience and growing your career with a collaborative, safety‑driven group.

Starting early at 6:00 a.m., you'll learn to operate Trimble GPS, assist with data collection, and travel occasionally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have valid OR or WA driver's license.
• Ability to pass urinalysis drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform physically demanding work including packing heavy survey equipment, pounding hubs, and clearing brush.
• Receive hands-on training in survey instruments, data collection tools, GPS equipment, calculators, and other gear.
• Operate Trimble Robotic Total Stations, GN22 Receivers, and TSC5 Data collectors.
• Support data collection using unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
• Follow safety protocols and site regulations.
• Work in challenging weather and terrain.
• Occasionally travel out of town/overnight.
