Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead field operations in the central Virginia region, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely data collection for various civil-site projects.

You will organize field work, manage crews, and maintain records while working outdoors in diverse conditions. The role requires 3+ years in field operations, including at least 1 year as crew chief, with proficiency in total stations, data collectors, and GPS equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years progressive experience in survey field operations with no less than 1 year as a survey crew chief.
• Experienced in Construction Staking, Topographic and Boundary Surveying for Civil Site Land Development.
• Proficiency with survey equipment (total stations, data collectors and GPS equipment).
• Some overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate field survey crews on projects in central Virginia.
• Organize field work to meet quality, safety, schedules, budgets and client service.
• Accurately collect field data and locating features; deliver data to the office.
• Maintain accurate records of work and expenses; monitor equipment and vehicles.
