Job summary

GMB is seeking a full-time Survey Party Chief in Seaford, DE. You will lead field crews on land development, construction, and infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate data collection and timely delivery. This hands-on role offers a clear path toward Professional Land Surveyor licensure.

A signing bonus of $5,000 is available to successful candidates, with opportunities for mentorship from licensed PLS professionals and career advancement within the team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of surveying experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong working knowledge of surveying methods, GPS, and total station equipment.
• Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret legal descriptions, survey maps, engineering plans and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage survey field crews for land development, construction, and infrastructure projects.
• Perform accurate field measurements, data collection, and survey computations.
• Review plans and specifications to plan efficient, compliant field operations.
• Ensure quality control, safety standards, and project schedule adherence.
• Train and mentor crew members while promoting teamwork and accountability.
• Assist with cost estimates, scheduling, and overall project coordination.
• Support preparation of survey drawings and project documentation.
