Job summary

CESO, Inc. seeks a Crew Chief I to lead survey crews and deliver land survey projects in Akron, OH. The role involves independent work and mentoring junior staff, with hands-on use of total stations, GPS, data collectors, and office tools.

You will perform boundary, topographic, and construction surveys, interpret plans, and ensure accuracy while maintaining CESO standards. Local travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for entry.
• Minimum 5 years of field survey experience or training.
• Valid driver’s license required to travel to sites.
• OSHA 10 Hour Construction or Safe Land preferred or to be obtained on hire.
• First Aid & CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs/assists daily duties of survey crew as required.
• Mentor junior staff on field procedures and CESO standards.
• Operate survey equipment including total stations and GPS.
• Conduct boundary and topographic surveys for rights‑of‑way.
• Record data electronically and in field notes per CESO manual.
