Job summary

CAGE Engineering, Inc. in Lakewood, CO is seeking a Land Survey Crew Chief to lead a field crew and perform construction layout, ALTA and topographic surveys for civil projects.

You will ensure data accuracy, operate Trimble GPS and robotic equipment, and coordinate with project managers. You bring at least 5 years of surveying experience with 2+ in supervision, and a high school diploma (associate degree preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in surveying or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of land surveying experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency with total stations, GPS, and data collectors.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans with accuracy.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct construction layout, ALTA surveys, topo, boundary, and as-built surveys.
• Lead and supervise field survey crew as needed.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment (Trimble GPS/robotics).
• Record and document survey data accurately.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to meet survey needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and OSHA standards.
