Job summary

gpac partnered firm is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead field crews in Michigan, handling boundary, ALTA and topographic surveys, and construction staking. You will coordinate right-of-way work for highways and municipal projects, ensuring accurate field notes and timely project execution.

The role requires independent work capability, 3+ years in land surveying, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Trimble GPS/Robotics. Minimal local travel with company vehicle where applicable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of land surveying experience.
• Experience with boundary, ALTA, topographic surveys and construction staking.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D required.
• Experience using Trimble GPS and robotics equipment.
• Ability to work independently or on a 2-person crew.

Job description

I am partnered with a Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm and they are looking to add a Survey Crew Chief to their growing team! Minimal local travel.

Surveying services within my client include: LiDAR Scanning, Drone Services, boundary, topographic, ALTA, construction taking, and more.

What You Will Be Doing

• Perform right of way, design, and construction surveys for highway, municipal, and roadway projects
• Ability to organize field notes and execute field staking
• Monitoring projects from start to finish, interacting with clients

What You Will Need

• 3+ years of experience in land surveying
• Experience with boundary, ALTA, topographic surveys as well as construction staking
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D
• Experience using Trimble GPS and Robotics equipment
• Ability to work independently or as part of a 2-person crew
• Well-developed understanding of surveying process, start to finish
