Survey Crew Chief

Job Locations: US-MI-Wixom

Overview

As a Survey Crew Chief for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will work independently and with crew members conducting field survey work related to boundary surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys, topographic surveys, photo control surveys, route surveys, and construction stakeout under the supervision of a Registered Professional Surveyor. Your responsibilities include ensuring efficient operation of the field crew, operating robotic total stations and GPS receivers, maintaining equipment, and assisting with project development tasks such as deed work maps and courthouse research. Attention to detail is critical in this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' survey experience
• Skilled in GPS devices, data collectors, and Total Station
• Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
• Knowledge of land surveying principles and practices
• Knowledge of computer-aided drafting instruments and practices
• Understanding of civil engineering principles and construction regulations
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards
• Ability to operate motorized equipment
• Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
• Valid Driver's License
